About Mike Straus
Mike Straus writes gritty urban fantasy where mythology collides with the modern world.
Drawing inspiration from ancient legends, forgotten gods, supernatural folklore, and the darker corners of modern life, Mike writes stories about ordinary people caught in extraordinary conflicts—and the monsters, gods, angels, and other things lurking just outside the world we know.
His debut novel, The Staff of the Dagda, launches The Albean Chronicles, a Celtic-inspired urban fantasy series steeped in ancient mythology, dangerous magic, and the consequences of old conflicts refusing to stay buried.
He is also the author of the upcoming Halo & Gunpowder, a dark urban fantasy series about fallen angels, ancient weapons, divine conspiracies, and a supernatural war unfolding in the streets of Detroit.
When he isn't writing fiction, Mike is a professional writer and journalist whose work has appeared across numerous publications and industries. He's also the founder and editor of Respawn Magazine, an independent publication dedicated to the history, culture, and nostalgia of retro gaming.
Mike lives in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.
